Christian Leadership

Today's Readings:
2 Thes 1:1-5, 11-12
Ps 96:1-5
Mt 23:13-22

In Sunday's Gospel we heard Jesus announce that Peter would be first to lead the Church and guide it during it's first years since he was the first to proclaim the good news about who Jesus truly was. In today's Gospel we hear Jesus condemning the Scribes and Pharisees because of their lack of true leadership, and in effect, hiding God from the people of Israel. As we move throughout this day, let us follow in the example of Peter in that all that we do, we do for the Lord rather than imitating those whom Jesus speaks out against. Let us truly be Christian leaders so that all we encounter today may come to know our Lord that much more. May God Bless you all and have a great day!
